String Tree (also known as string retainer, string tees and string guides) are used on the headstocks of Fender®-style bolt-on necks.
They are available in a range of different styles and colours but all do the same thing, pull the strings down on a sharper angle over the nut, creating more force on the nut slot and reducing the chance of string-buzzing.
Some guitars use two String Trees, some only use one. If your guitar only uses one just use one out of the set.
